Breaking Away

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!  It is absolutely gorgeous. We have had a great week making memories and spending time together having fun. We are all sad to see the week come to an end. :(  Our last night walk on the beach was eventful. A fisherman caught a baby shark and gave it to us to release, He said he caught a 6 ft, one at the beginning of the week. He showed us pictures. We already can’t wait for next year. We absolutely loved spending our family vacation at "Breaking Away"! Everything was so new and fresh, and the location was perfect! We love spending time at the beach, and the pool is perfect for the little ones! We made lots of wonderful memories and will definitely be back when we take our next visit to Surfside Beach! We had an amazing stay at your lovely home. It brought so many memories and adventures. Thank you! Being in Colorado, we don’t see the beach a lot, so it was a very beautiful view. We also stayed with another family, and the last night before check-out, the boys caught a bunch of crabs! So fun! We wish to be back another time!

We had yet another wonderful week at your beautiful home! We brought more family, and we made even more memories! We deep-sea fished, swam in the pool, and shell hunted in the rain. The house and the location are so perfect. Thank you for allowing us to stay here for the second year in a row! We hope to make this house part of a yearly trip! We are all sad to leave!

Our 3rd year at Breaking Away and it was a great one! We have lovedwatching out lids grow each summer and reflecton how different last year was. We always look forward to seeing your updates and appreciate them every time. Your home has become a summer oasis for us and we look forward to our trip all year. Great Time

We had another great time! We love Breaking Away. I think this is our 4th year and we love. This year I took several pictures of the sunrise. It's time to head home. Last year we were returning home to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversay. Can't believe summers over.

The Perfect Place!

We are so happy to be your guest in your “beautiful” new home. We loved every minute in this wonderful house. Every detail is perfect. We loved the Garden City Pier. There was an arcade, ice cream, and a little restaurant with food kids would love. Also, it was free to walk out to the pier. Great memories were made! We love the house, the pool, and the beach!

So where to begin, this week was a blast in many ways. This vacation progressed into a relaxed living environment. As a family who stayed in the house even before the update, we find it still enjoyable. Even if there is a hurricane at 3-5am in the morning. Thank you so much!

Breaking Away
Our family stayed for a week at Breaking Away for 2 summers in a row. This property is beautiful. You can tell the owners put time and love into the interior renovations. The house is set up great and there is more than enough room for everyone. The kitchen is stocked with supplies. The washer and dryer on site is a bonus as well for quick turnover of bathing suits and towels for the week. Location is key for us with this property. We have family nearby and we love the family atmosphere of Surfside Beach; we've been visiting the area for over 20 years and this is the spot - close enough to Myrtle and Murrells without feeling like you're in the middle of it all. Finding an updated home with a good bedroom setup that worked for us that didn't sleep too many, and had a private pool was the ask and we found it in this property. Beach is quiet and we love the private access. Pool is great and we even like that there is space around the pool for things like cornhole and lounging. I would definitely recommend and rent this property again for sure.

Three years in a row, we have made memories to last a lifetime here. We have laughed until we cried, played in the ocean in pools until we were out of energy, and bonded as a family until we couldn’t bond anymore. We flew kites for the first time. The three younger girls got more comfortable with going further out in the ocean to jump waves. Long walks on the beach, shopping, and our favorite restaurants are always at the top of the list of things we do every year. We truly love our time here every year. This year was another amazing experience, as the past two years have been!

We took a gamble three years ago to book this home on the beach because it was being renovated. When we entered the house and saw the ocean, it was breathtaking! We had another fabulous week, staying in the pool, enjoying the warm ocean, and touring Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed a day trip to Charlotte. We look forward to another great trip next year!
